I remember the day I have to make the presentation on hydraulic flow meters very vividly. I had three more students in my group; one was born lazy who even on pain of death would not dream to consider working; and the other two totally confident upon my ability to make it on my own. I was used by now to do most of the assignment work on my own and share the marks with my parasite friends.
That day, it was raining and, as I came out of the cafeteria, I was knocked off my feet by a red-head, sending my papers flying here and there. Since it was raining, the hydraulic flow meter presentation got wet, and was un-presentable. I was so angry that I could not even speak properly. After I collected the papers and swore savagely to myself, I went towards my room to remake the whole thing.

As I was about to open my room, I felt someone tapping me on my shoulder. It was the red-head. It took all my self-control to be civil to her, when I was actually dying to get my hands around her throat and strangle her to death. She offered to help me redo my presentation. We spent the next 4-5 hours, retyping, re-drawing, re-doing every line, every diagram, every image on the hydraulic flow meter for the presentation. I had to admit that she was an exceptional artist, matched totally by her in-depth knowledge on the subject.
By the time we finished, it was dinner time and we had dinner together. We still kept the conversation on hydraulic flow meters and only hydraulic flow meters. One month later, we were married.
Moral: Physics is an attractive subject!
